Our motto at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center is to "Tell the Army's Story, One Soldier at a Time." In order to accomplish our mission we need YOUR stories. We run a veterans survey program to collect recollections and stories from United States Army veterans. These surveys allow researchers, historians and general visitors to our facility to better understand the experiences of the Soldier, and are critical to helping the next generation learn from our history. Everyone, from privates to generals, has a unique and important story, and we are interested in recording, preserving, and making all of them available. Please take the time to participate in this program so that others may understand all that you have experienced and sacrificed for this country. Simply click on the appropriate survey below. If you have any questions, please email Visitor and Education Services or call 717-245-3972.

There are many opportunities for living history interpreters at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center. Currently, we host two living history events each year, a timeline event in the spring called Army Heritage Days, which features living historians and Soldiers from every period of Army history - French and Indian War through Current Operations. Our fall event themes change annually, but periods of historical focus include the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and the War of 1812. If you are interested in interpreting at one of our events, please click below to fill out a registration form.
