New Exhibit and Perspectives Lecture with Dr. Carol Reardon Highlights the Sacrifice of Civil War Soldiers

The USAHEC proudly presents, "A Great Civil War: 1863, Battles that Defined a Nation," the center's newest exhibit. Occupying space inside the USAHEC's
changing gallery in the Visitor and Education Center, this exhibit opened to
the public on Friday, May 17, and explores the major battles of 1863, though
artifacts and archival materials.

Even re-enactors have to train, and over the weekend of May 10-11, 2013, the living historians of Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, will be at the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center (USAHEC) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to hone their skills at educating the American public.

The USAHEC, partnering with Carlisle Barracks and the US Army War College, is proud to present a celebration of Women's History Month throughout the month of March. We will celebrate Women's History Month by distributing information about women's history through our various media sources on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We will also have a presentation and a community service project planned for the month.
