Congressional Gridlock, Town Hall Vitrol... and the Information Environment
 
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signs into law a bill that provides greater educational and informational resources for veterans attending illinois public colleges and universities. The Higher Education Veterans Service Act will require schools to create, publish and distribute a comprehensive guide of services available to veterans at their institution. The bill also requires schools with 1,000 or more full-time students to appoint a coordinator to act as a liaison between administrators and student veterans. (PHOTO: Lt. Col. Scott R. While massive amounts of information can provide the opportunity to broaden and expand thought, it also can, and does, overwhelm people already constrained by time as they juggle the daily requirements of life.
